Back to bubblegum pop for Katy Perry as she ditches haute couture for signature rainbow colours
She paraded a more poised style at Paris Fashion Week recently, scraping her two-toned locks up into a bun and donning haute couture dresses.
But Katy Perry was back to her bubble gum roots last night as she took to the stage in her signature colourful ensembles.
The singer hit the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles last night and donned a couple of sugary sweet outfits as she greeted fans in her home town between two German tour dates.

The 27-year-old was all wrapped up in a pink all-in-one which featured fan-style detail on the left shoulder and right hip to represent a candy wrapper.
Her shiny pink material was covered in multi-coloured and life-sized sprinkles, her nails coated in fashionable gold metallic to offset the diamantes on her hoisery.
As Perry toned down her lively set she switched into a full-skirted and sweetheart bust dress displaying four shades of stripes.

The star – who announced she and husband Russell Brand would be getting a divorce at the end of last year – seemed back to her usual self as she surprised a topless male admirer with a peck on the cheek in front of thousands of fans.
Off-stage Katy is said to be finding comfort following the breakdown of her marriage with model Baptiste Giabiconi.
The pair sat by one another at the Chanel runway show before taking picture together with brand’s designer Karl Lagerfeld.
A source said: 'He was sitting next to her at the show. Then we all had dinner the other night, they were holding hands and looking cozy, and now they are inseparable.'
Princess Kasia Al-Thani, a close friend of Baptiste, added that the 22-year-old hunk is 'smitten' with Katy.

Katy’s style dramatically changed in the city of love, toning down the fun element with classic pieces in tribute to her favourite designers.
Keeping her ever-changing locks out of her face, onlookers saw her in a more serious light as she watched the Yves Saint Laurent from runway in a deep green frock accessorised with gold chain necklace and wrist cuff.
She even went androgynous to go shopping at L’Eclaireur inside the Decoratove Arts Museum, wearing grey trousers and a long coat.
Again she achieved her toned down look by scraping her hair back, making the star almost unrecognisible.
