Last week Katherine Heigl's mother didn't blink an eyelid when her daughter stepped out in a pair of matronly jeans for a spot of lunch.
But it was a different story today when the duo went for another meal at Il Pastaio restaurant in Beverly Hills.
The 33-year-old's mother Nancy appeared to be looking at her daughter's eye-watering skin tight trousers in a disapproving manner.

The actress, who was sporting the coloured denim trend de jour, appeared to have gone for a size that was perhaps a little too small.
The attire had a sprayed on effect and even Katherine seemed aware of their constricting fit as she continuously crossed her legs and arms over her front whilst she waited at the valet.

She wore her long blonde hair up in a bun and her make-up was pretty in neutral tones.
Her modern look was a far cry different to her more matronly attire of late.

Katherine covered up her toned physique in drab blue jeans that had been rolled up at the ankles.
She paired the jeans with an orange turtle neck, a cropped green jacket and brown pumps.
She wore her blonde hair pulled back into a messy ponytail.
Despite working her high heels, the mother-of-one still managed to make them look dowdy by pairing the trousers with the ill fitting jeans and unkempt hair.
The former Grey’s Anatomy star has appeared in a string of comedy films, but she recently revealed she would like to return to the series that made her famous.

While promoting her recent movie One For the Money, Katherine told E! Online that she would be up for reprising the role of Dr Izzie Stevens.
She said: 'I would be thrilled if they asked. I think it would be just so wonderful to have the opportunity to just sort of round out the character.
However it sounds like Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes in not interested in bringing her back, especially after Katherine had a long running dispute with Rhimes because the actress wanted to be released from her contract early.
Katherine left the series during Season 6 in 2010 to spend more time with her adopted daughter and focus on movie roles.

When asked about the possibility of Katherine returning to the series, Rhimes didn't exactly embrace the idea.
She told TV Guide magazine: 'I think it was really nice to hear her appreciating the show. At the same time we are on a track we have been planning.
'The idea of changing that track is not something we are interested in right now,' she said.
