'I pose naked to support my family': Glamour model reveals why she is still working one month before giving birth

Glamour model Sophia Cahill shocked the audience when she appeared naked and heavily pregnant on the catwalk at London Fashion Week.

Now the 28-year-old single mother, with one month left before she gives birth, has revealed she still strips off to support her family but finds it 'tough being alone.'

A former Miss Wales, Sophia has been modelling since she was 18, but after getting pregnant with son Bailey, now nine - and splitting up with his father soon after - she turned to glamour modelling to pay the bills.

Sophia has also appeared in Penthouse and Playboy, earning up to £500 a day.

Last year she fell pregnant again with her boyfriend of five months - but the pair broke up 11 weeks later.

She told Closer magazine: 'I need to work to pay the bills and it's really tough doing it alone.

This time I had to provide for by unborn baby and Bailey. I had to keep working.

'There were gasps when I went down the catwalk, but it didn't bother me. A pregnant body is beautiful and shouldn't be hidden. 

'Some women feel fat and frumpy with a bump - but I feel sexy and womanly. Men tell me I look gorgeous and sexy.'

Sophia modelled for Welsh milliner Robyn Coles earlier this month in nothing but a hat.

Coles said she wanted to include Cahill, who is a friend from home, because it is rare to see pregnant women on the catwalk.

'She was one person I knew would be more than happy to get her kit off. I thought it would be nice she would be pregnant for the show. You never see that kind of thing in fashion.'

Payout: Millionaire Chris Huhne will pocket £17,000 - the equivalent of three months of his ministerial salary despite being forced to resign because he faces prosecution

Chris Huhne will pocket a taxpayer-funded payoff worth more than £17,000 today – despite being the first Cabinet minister in history to be forced from office by a criminal prosecution.

The millionaire MP, who recently bought his eighth property, is being handed the tax-free sum after stepping down to fight charges of perverting the course of justice.

Mr Huhne resigned as Energy Secretary on February 3 after he was charged over allegations that he used his ex-wife Vicky Pryce’s name to escape speeding penalty points.

By law, Mr Huhne is allowed three months of his £68,827 ministerial salary, worth £17,207. This is on top of his £65,738 salary as Liberal Democrat MP for Eastleigh in Hampshire.

The 57-year-old MP, who has fiercely protested his innocence, has been under pressure from opponents to forfeit the ministerial severance payment. However last night the Cabinet Office confirmed that Mr Huhne will receive it today.

His decision to accept the money has triggered accusations of hypocrisy as senior Liberal Democrats have condemned ex-ministers for taking payoffs.

In 2010, Mr Huhne shared a platform with Conservative Party chairman Baroness Warsi when she called for ex-ministers to forfeit the controversial taxpayer-funded payoffs.

She said: ‘At a time when people across the country are being asked to tighten their belts to deal with Labour’s economic mess, it is unacceptable that the very people responsible walk away with up to £20,000 each. 

‘Forfeiting this pay would be the first step towards accepting their responsibility.’

Mr Huhne’s Lib Dem colleague, pensions minister Steve Webb, said in 2009: ‘People will be shocked to learn that former ministers get these payoffs even when they have been sacked or left of their own free will. While thousands are losing their jobs, failed ministers get a huge payout on top of their salary as MPs. This can’t go on.’

‘Cahaya Malaika’, itulah nama yang diberikan oleh Mawi dan Ekin kepada puteri sulung mereka. Menurut Mawi yang dihubungi sebentar tadi, nama itu membawa makna ‘Cahaya Permaisuriku’ dan ia merupakan pilihannya dan Ekin.
“Nama itu kami berdua yang pilih. Selepas dapat tahu Ekin hamil anak perempuan, kami mula mencari nama yang sesuai. Lama juga hendak buat keputusan, tapi selepas anak saya selamat dilahirkan semalam, saya dan Ekin setuju gunakan nama ‘Cahaya Malaika’ itu,” ulas Mawi.
Sementara itu, Mawi juga diminta mengulas pendiriannya yang tidak mahu berkongsi gambar anaknya kepada pihak media. Jelas bintang Akademi Fantasia ini, ketika ini dia tidak selesa untuk menunjukkan wajah puterinya itu kepada umum.
“Saya tahu ramai peminat yang ingin lihat anak saya, tapi tunggulah dahulu. Buat masa ini saya dan Ekin tidak selesa hendak berkongsi. wajah Bukan hendak sembunyikan selama-lamanya, tapi saya menunggu waktu yang sesuai. Mungkin saya benarkan pihak media rakamkan gambar anak ketika saya buat kenduri kesyukuran nanti,” tambah Mawi yang merancang untuk mengadakan kenduri kesyukuran dalam waktu terdekat ini.
Menyentuh tentang perkembangan terbaru kariernya, dalam sedikit masa lagi Mawi akan melancarkan single terbaru berjudul  ‘Termolek’. Single gubahan Datuk M.Nasir dan liriknya ditulis oleh Ad Samad ini berkonsepkan irama pop dan Mawi kini dalam perancangan untuk menjalani penggambaran muzik videonya.
“Dalam seminggu dua ini memang saya luangkan masa untuk menjaga Ekin dan bayi kami. Namun bermula 10 Mac depan saya sudah mula sibuk dengan beberapa aktiviti seperti jelajah Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian dan juga persembahan pentas,” ujar Mawi mengakhiri perbualan.

Selepas hebat di’gossipkan beliau bercinta dengan beberapa jejaka di Malaysia, hari ini beliau sahkan yang dirinya bakal menjadi milik seorang ahli perniagaan.

Liyana Jasmay sebelum ini pernah di’kaitkan dengan nama besar seperti Syamsul Yusofdan Aizat mengakui yang beliau telah pun menerima cincin merisik sekitar minggu lalu.

Jejaka bertuah yang berjaya mencuri hati gadis ini bernama Fathuddin Mazlan,seorang ahli perniagaan muda dan juga jiran kepada Liyana Jasmay.

“Dia menghantar rombongan merisik pada minggu lalu dan jika tiada aral melintang, kami akan bertunangan bulan depan. Tarikhnya terpaksa dirahsiakan. InsyaAllah tahun depan kami akan berkahwin”, kata Liyana Jasmay kepada media.

Alhamdulillah. Akhirnya sampai juga jodoh Liyana Jasmay seperti yang di’idam idamkan selama ini. Jangan lupa jempuat kami semua makan nasi minyak. Heh.

Boss keeps City in sight

Sir Alex admits he would accept heading to Manchester City on 30 April knowing that a United victory would take the champions to the top of the table.

The Monday night showdown at the Etihad Stadium is already prematurely being billed as a title decider by some but there is no doubt that, following Tottenham's defeat to Arsenal, the likelihood of the Barclays Premier League trophy remaining in Manchester was increased.

United travel to White Hart Lane on Sunday two points adrift of City following the last-gasp victory at Norwich and the boss is determined to keep in touch with Roberto Mancini's men.

"It’s going to be a massive game," he said of the trip to Spurs. "If we can survive that one, then we’ll have a big, big chance of winning the league.

"Yes, I would take it [being two points behind going into the Etihad Stadium fixture]. I would rather go there on level points. But if we could go there within striking distance of being top of the league, I’d take it.

"I should have more players available than I’ve had in the last few weeks because we’ve had a terrible spell of injuries. But we’ve done the right thing in the treatment of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones, we’ve given them a break. They are young players and they had been carrying little strains for weeks. Then all of a sudden it hits them, and we had to take stock, to get them back. We’ve given them a fair break and they’re fresh now."

The manager is hoping that United's greater experience of winning titles could prove crucial in the run-in.

ALOR SETAR 28 Feb. - Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak hari ini sekali lagi memberi tamparan hebat kepada kumpulan Anwarinas dalam Pas apabila menegaskan, beliau sama sekali tidak akan akur kepada arahan mana-mana pemimpin pakatan pembangkang termasuk Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Sebaliknya tegas Menteri Besar Kedah tersebut, beliau hanya perlu akur kepada Presiden Pas, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
Sambil menegaskan bahawa beliau dilantik oleh Pas pusat untuk mentadbir Kedah, Azizan berkata, beliau bertanggungjawab untuk melaporkan kepada Abdul Hadi dan pemimpin tertinggi parti agar keputusan dibuat berdasarkan sistem syura tanpa campur tangan pihak luar.
"Kita pakatan pembangkang bukan Barisan Nasional (BN), walaupun kita berpakat memerintah tetapi ketua kita adalah ketua parti masing-masing... ketua Pas ialah Haji (Abdul) Hadi.
"Ketiga-tiga Presiden ini (Pas, PKR dan DAP) akan duduk sekali dalam Majlis Presiden, contohnya kalau kita hendak pilihan raya, yang tandatangan borang adalah ketua parti, bukan ketua Pakatan Rakyat," katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang akhbar selepas istiadat angkat sumpah lapan Exco pada Majlis Pelantikan Ahli Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri (Exco) di Istana Anak Bukit di sini, hari ini.
Isu pergolakan kerajaan negeri Kedah bermula apabila dikatakan terdapat golongan 'Anwarinas' cuba menggugat kepimpinan Azizan selepas Exco kanan, Datuk Phahrolrazi Zawawi dan penyandang Exco, Datuk Dr. Ismail Salleh menghantar surat untuk menolak cadangan pelantikan semula sebagai Exco.
Walaupun nama Exco, Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah, Datuk Siti Ashah Ghazali dan Datuk Dr. Hamdan Mohamed Khalib turut dikaitkan untuk turut mengikuti jejak langkah Phahrolrazi dan Ismail bagi menggugat kepimpinan Azizan, namun ketiga-tiga mereka kemudiannya menafikannya.
Azizan berkata, beliau telah memaklumkan perkembangan mengenai pelantikan lapan Exco tersebut kepada Abdul Hadi dan Setiausaha Agung, Mustafa Ali selain mengadakan perjumpaan dengan pimpinan tertinggi Pas pusat.
"Saya mesti lapor kepada pihak tertinggi saya (Pas), itu bezanya kami dengan orang lain," katanya.
Beliau yang juga Pesuruhjaya Pas Kedah menegaskan, semua pihak berhak memberi pandangan masing-masing berhubung kemelut yang berlaku.
"Itu hak depa, saya buat tugas saya, mereka beri pandangan, kita bincang demi kekuatan parti, kerajaan kita akan pilih mana terbaik, itu konsep syura dalam Pas," katanya.
Mengenai kenyataan Mustafa yang menyatakan Phahrolrazi dan Dr. Ismail perlu dilantik semula sebagai Exco, Azizan berkata;
"Itu kenyataan Pas pusat atau atas kapasiti dia seorang? Kita kena bezakan sebab Pas pusat tak buat mesyuarat lagi.
"Saya masih tertakluk kepada sistem dan arahan parti, apa juga arahan yang diberikan saya akan ikut kerana yang penting kerajaan pentadbiran saya akan terus kekal di Kedah."
Sementara itu, Azizan berkata, walaupun kedua-dua Exco itu tiada dalam senarai Exco mengangkat sumpah hari ini namun kedudukan mereka dalam Pas Kedah adalah perkara berasingan.
